I didn’t always believe that.
For years, I searched for something - acceptance belonging, a way to feel whole. In 2011, a spiritual guide entered my life and started me on a path of self-discovery. But the moment that cracked me wide open came in 2022, when I was laid off and lost everything, I thought made me valuable. A career, a title, external validation - gone. And in that silence, one question echoed:
Who am I without all of it?
The unraveling was brutal. I had spent so much time measuring myself by what I could prove, by how well I could fit into spaces that were never meant for me. But in 2024, something shifted. I stopped waiting for permission to be worthy. I stopped trying to be anything other than who I already was.
So let me introduce myself again. I'm Aquiera (Akera), your lesbian guide in Worthiness.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to shrink, apologize for taking up space, or mold yourself into someone more “acceptable” - I see you. The world has tried to convince us that we need to earn our place, if we’re queer, and especially if we don’t fit into neat little boxes.

During one of my worthiness sessions, I was distracted and having a tough time staying grounded.
It was 9:19pm when my coach told me to ground myself—again, for the third time! By 9:32pm(13 minutes later—I’m sure that number represents something deeper), my watch thought I was asleep—resting heart rate detected. I wasn’t—I was just so deeply at peace. I stayed in that calm, weightless place until almost midnight. The only reason I came out of it was because I picked up my phone—don’t recommend.
I can’t even explain what she unlocks in me. It’s like her voice, her energy—just who she is—opens a door I didn’t even know was there. She helps me come back to myself when I feel scattered, lost, overwhelmed.

I know this lightness is partly because I’ve been open to receiving guidance from my ancestors, but I also deeply credit Aquiera for speaking life back into me. Her guidance toward self-worthiness and wholeness has been nothing short of a gift. She didn’t just help me reconnect with my energy—she helped me remember who I am at my core.
